Submissions for the XIV edition of the Festival are CLOSED

The fourteenth edition of Festival della Comunicazione e del Cinema Archeologico (now “Festival”) is held in Licodia Eubea from Wednesday 9th to Sunday 13th October 2024. The Festival is organized by the Associazione Culturale Archeovisiva (now “Organization”), whose office is in Corso Umberto I n. 232, 95040 Licodia Eubea, FN: 91029870879, in partnership with Archeoclub d’Italia of Licodia Eubea “Mario Di Benedetto”. 

Except when derogations are given, documentaries and film of every nationality may be presented, in compliance with the following conditions:

  1. They have been produced since 2020; works already shown at previous editions of the “Festival” will not be accepted;
  2. Thematic or animation documentaries, films, mid-length films and short films may be registered, whose arguments concern archaeological, historical, paletnological, natural, anthropological research and/or the protection and valorization of cultural property. The entered film can have any duration.

It is possible to register a film through two channels:

  • From the Festival website (www.rassegnalicodia.it), following the instructions. In this case, registration is free;
  • From the Film Freeway platform. In this case, the registration includes a fee.

Each author must fill in the Entry Form provided by the Organization or downloaded from the official website of the “Festival” (www.rassegnalicodia.it).

It is possible to enter more than one work by filling out an entry form for a single film.

The deadline for submitting a film through the website is May 31, 2024, through the Film Freeway platform it is June 30, 2024.

The artistic direction of the festival may grant extensions.

The application dossier must consist of:

  • Completed and signed Entry Form, complete with link from which to view the film at a minimum resolution of 720p (FTP or platforms such as Vimeo, Google Drive, etc);
  • A photo of the director;
  • Three photos or frames of the film;
  • A biography of the director (max. 450 characters) in English;
  • The full script of the film preferably in Italian or, if this is not possible, in English or French (only for films in a language other than Italian);
  • The synopsis of the film (max. 500 characters) in English.

The application dossier must be sent by e-mail to the address direzioneartistica@rassegnalicodia.it.

Registered films are selected by the Art Directors of the “Organization”, who are the sole responsible for the programming and the calendar of the event. The selection is incontestable.
